The Old Rag Mountain hike in the Shenandoah National Park is one of the most popular hikes in the mid-Atlantic region. With many spectacular panoramic views, and one of the most challenging rock scrambles in the park, this 8 mile long circuit hike is a favorite of many hikers.
We plan to leave the Nativity parking lot at 8:30am and return home by 9 - 10pm
Each hiker will need:
• a small day pack
• a good pair of sneakers or hiking shoes
• at least 1 quart of water, snacks and a packed lunch for lunch for the trail, light weight rain jacket and
• money for a snack on the drive down and for dinner at Chic-fil-a for the ride home.
