Our partner community of Southwest Baltimore is thrilled about the current renovation of the Poppleton Recreation Center. Through the support of our community, Baltimore City, and additional foundation partners, the neighborhood began work in February 2020 and construction towards completion is well under way. Beginning in the Spring/Summer of 2024, we will need volunteer support to assist with tutoring students in the area, providing life skills training, financial literacy services, coaching for sports, as well as landscaping assistance.
We are working diligently with the community, Baltimore City, founding partners and the neighborhood to complete this work a quickly as possible so that we can open up in-person volunteering this Spring/Summer. We will provide dates, times, and locations and form teams to partner with Southwest Baltimore, once we have secured projects, dates, times and locations.
