To work with Araminta in a volunteer capacity, you must become a certified and trained volunteer. You accomplish this through attending 2-3 training sessions depending on your level of involvement.
Araminta envisions a society in which every person is free from the threat and trauma of child sex trafficking. Araminta implements education and prevention strategies and provides clinical and support services to survivors of child sex trafficking, while valuing human dignity, justice, community and inclusivity.
Volunteers with Araminta engage in four areas: prevention of the sexual exploitation of minors, systemic economic deterrence of the business of human trafficking, intervention and rescue of those held against their will, and the provision of aftercare initiatives that provide healing and wholeness to victims. Volunteers are trained and educated through a series of Awaken presentation, given by Araminta to educate volunteers on how to engage with Araminta and the current state of human trafficking in Maryland and the surround states. Trainings are held virtually and in person throughout the year.
If you would like to learn more about how to be engaged with Araminta or sign up to attend a future Awaken presentation event, please sign-up here. A member of the Nativity Missions team will be in touch regarding next steps.
Thank you for supporting Nativity Missions local parter, Araminta.
